History of this ancient independent villa in Tuscany

This villa in Tuscany was part of the ancient village of Pignano owned by the marquises of Volterra, with its manor, its parish church and more than 300 hectares of fields and woods with lakes and waterfalls.
In this farmhouse the farmers lived on the first floor and the animals on the ground floor, the loggia served as a shelter for the wagon.
The ancient stone oven was used to prepare bread once a week.
The property also had a barn where the hay bales were stored in the winter. two concrete silos were the granaries, then there was the pigeon house and the pigsty.
